Methodology

One hundred and fifty attributes.

Glass Guide is built Japan-first: every Japanese expression is catalogued as a structured record, scored by scarcity, provenance, condition of the market, and editorial interest. A small set of global benchmark expressions is included for comparison, but the scoring, provenance, and market data are tuned to Japanese whisky.

Scoring

Collectability is a composite, not a taste rating.

A collectability score reflects scarcity, provenance, condition of the market, and editorial interest — not the drinking pleasure of the pour. Tasting is a separate, subjective instrument. Scores are marked illustrative until sourced from verified data.
